January 7, 2020 It’s a Tuesday, one week into the new year. Everyone is trying to accomplish their resolutions THIS YEAR, to be a better person, to lose weight, be happier. Here are some things to remember. None of these changes will happen over night. Last Tuesday, when the clock struck 12, it was not a strike of magic that magically fixes your problems. This year will be no different in that having unrealistic resolutions will only lead to failure and disappointment. This year, set realistic goals. Celebrate every small accomplishment, take it day by day. Make better choices. Make LIFESTYLE changes for a lifestyle that works for YOU. Make the CHOICE to be happy. Wake up and tell yourself it’s going to be a good day. Positive affirmations lead to positive outcomes. Then and only then will you be successful in achieving your goals, being fulfilled and content. Your life is in your hands. YOU choose the outcome. YOU set your goals, and YOU work to achieve them for YOU and only YOU. Work at your own pace. Stay focused on your own goals, and don’t look at what others around you are doing. Make the choice to do better and be better. Work on YOU for YOU. When you have a bad day, remember it could be worse. Be grateful for your life. If you do get sucked into the great world of social media and find yourself looking at others who are doing better than you, do not envy them, do not become jealous, upset, or angry. Become inspired. Become inspired to work even harder to get where you want to be. Don’t give up, don’t look back, take everything one day at a time. Remember everything happens for a reason. God has a plan. Everything will fall into place. All of your darkest moments will pass, but so will the good ones, so cherish them. Cherish every moment. Cherish the people you love and TELL THEM that you love them. Take care of yourself, take care of your relationships, and take care of all that you love. Be kind always, don’t waste energy on being angry or hating people. Spread love and positivity. Give back when you can, help others when needed, rest when you need to, do what you can. All you can do is YOUR best. Make the world a better place in any way YOU are able to. Life is short. Live with no regrets. You only have one shot so make it count.
